As part of the “41.2607° N, 28.7424° E” project, Mert Ege Köse drew inspiration from various technical parts during his visit to the Turkish Airlines Technical Hangar. He contemplated sketches focusing on the form and functions of aircraft engine parts. Drawing on his lifelong passion for flight, he interpreted the morphology of the sculpture in terms of fragment and whole, presenting a visual and conceptual process. In the designed sculpture, a new texture is created from recycled materials, giving the sensation of flight when viewed from afar. The red color used in the interior section of the sculpture represents Turkish Airlines, movement, and the aircraft.
